Back by Popular Demand, an Evening of Salsa Romántica BACK TO THE ’80s II
Featuring Eddie Santiago & His Orchestra, Tony Vega, and Ray De La Paz
Lehman Center for the Performing Arts continues another fantastic 31st season celebration with BACK TO THE ’80s II -- a night of Salsa Romántica hits performed by three renowned salseros. EDDIE SANTIAGO and his Orchestra will be joined for this special concert by fellow singers TONY VEGA and RAY DE LA PAZ on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 8pm. This concert is produced by Lehman Center and José Raposo.

The Battle of the Boros featuring The Bronx Horns, Lower East Side Salsa and The Williamsburg Salsa Orchestra, representing three of the five boroughs of New York City, will duke it out for one night of salsa at the infamous B.B. Kings Blues Club on Thursday, May 31st. Each of the bands will bring it with their own style of Salsa from the classics to the sweet sounds that will make you rock and roll!

LEHMAN CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS presents 30th Anniversary of Colombia’s Premier Band GRUPO NICHE
Lehman Center for the Performing Arts continues its superb 31st season with the legendary Salsa group from Colombia, GRUPO NICHE, who performs at Lehman Center as part of its 30th Anniversary Tour. Led by songwriter JAIRO VARELA, the band continues to tour the world, bringing their hot sound and celebrated rhythms to international audiences. This not-to-be-missed concert will feature the band’s signature song, “Cali pachanguero,” plus countless hits from their ten gold, three platinum and two double platinum records.

Lehman Center for the Performing Arts continues its unbelievable 31st season with a treat for Latin music lovers -- five-time GRAMMY® Award and three-time Latin GRAMMY-winning merengue and Latin superstar OLGA TAÑÓN on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 8pm. Known as La Mujer de Fuego (The Woman of Fire), the Puerto Rican native who has sold over four million albums world-wide and received countless awards will ignite Lehman’s stage with such hits as “Es mentiroso,” “Como olvidar” and “Así es la vida.” Also on the bill will be Emmy Award-winning comedian and Bronx native MIKE ROBLES, the star and creator of Galavision’s two flagship shows, “Video Mix” and “¡Que Locos!”
